Refund policy

Returns

At The Homemade Food Co. we aim to provide high quality meals and snacks. If for any reason you feel your order is not up to standard, please get in touch. Email hello@thehomemadefoodco.nz with any concerns.

We only replace or refund items if they are defective, damaged, or not up to standard.

We cannot accept returns based on personal preference. However, if something isn’t right with the food itself, we will always make it right.

While we take care in packaging and shipping, our products are perishable and handled in transit. Minor movement or cosmetic changes may occur and are not considered faults.

Our policy lasts 10 days from delivery. After this time, we are unable to offer a refund or replacement.

To be eligible for a return or replacement, the majority of the product must be retained and in the same condition it was received, including original packaging.

To complete your request, we require proof of purchase. Please wait for instructions before sending any items back.


Partial refunds (if applicable) may be granted in the following situations:

  • The product has been partially consumed

  • The product is not in its original condition for reasons not due to our error

  • The request is made more than 10 days after delivery

Refunds

Once your request is reviewed, we will notify you of the outcome. If approved, a refund will be processed or a replacement arranged.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund, please first check your bank account. Then contact your credit card provider, as processing times can vary. If the issue persists, contact us at hello@thehomemadefoodco.nz.

Sale items

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items are not eligible for refunds.

Shipping

If a return is required, we will provide instructions. Do not send items back without contacting us first.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the issue is due to our error. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

If returning an item, we recommend using a tracked service. We cannot guarantee receipt of returned items.
